Mobile Phones - Donate it, don't dump it!

Fact: Currently in the U.K., 2 million mobile phones per year are being thrown away. On top of this, there are many people who hoard their old phones, which equates to another 8 million phones which are not being used but have potential to be donated and provide a use.

How re-use of mobiles will help: Mobile phones are a difficult item to dispose of into landfill as they contain a small quantity of hazardous metals such as lead and arsenic and heavy metals such as copper, silver and gold. This means that landfill of mobile phones creates a risk of these harmful metals being introduced to our environment, damaging plants and wildlife.

Description: When your old mobile phone stops working or you get an upgrade you can donate your old phone and equipment, including chargers, batteries and headsets, to be re-used or recycled. Any model is accepted.
