How re-use of furniture will help
Furniture is a bulky waste that occupies a large volume not only in landfill sites but also in collection containers and thus, causes a problem in disposal.

But there comes a time when new, replacement furniture is needed in your household or business and your previous items need to be shifted. Do not let your old, valuable furniture go to landfill, instead find out if your friends might make use of it or if you can donate them to a worthy local organisation.

Disposal to landfill should be seen only as the final waste management option for redundant furniture. It is a waste of valuable resources and furniture can usually be repaired. Currently in Essex the best option for you to rid yourselves from old furniture is to do it via the local community organisations and charity shops.

Description
When giving any piece of furniture to a re-use organisation make sure it is in the condition to be re-usable and sellable.

Items of furniture are things that are not electrical and are items that you could use in the home (in the living-room, bedroom, dining room or hallways). Most of these organisations will also accept carpets and flooring.
