Bikes - Donate it, don't dump it!
Re-use of bikes: When your children have outgrown their tricycles or bikes or you have replaced your own bike, the old bike is still a valuable resource that, if thrown away, or dumped, is wasted. Instead the best option is to take the bike to a community organisation. Most the organisations in Essex refurbish the bike and then ship it out to various developing countries around the world.
Description: Bikes should be in fairly good condition. Often small parts can be added at the organisation, such as new tyres, so check before you donate them. Bikes of all sizes are welcomed. These organisations will also accept wheelchairs.
