Battery and Textile Recycling for Harlow District Council
Kerbside collection of batteries and textile is provided to low-rise buildings in Harlow. These services operate separately from your blue box and white bag scheme.
Textile Recycling Service
About your scheme
- Your local kerbside textiles recycling scheme is called Text-BAC - you can recognise it from the logo on the bags delivered to your home. This service is provided in partnership with Harlow district council.
- Collections are made from all low-rise properties approximately once every three months.
What do I need to do?
- Please fill the text-BAC bag with textiles, using a separate bag for bric-a-brac and other items.
- Leave outside your property on your collection day, which is printed on the white label on your Text-BAC bag.
- If you need more than one bag, please use bin bags clearly marked Text-BAC and put it next to the Text-BAC bag.
Don’t Use Bogus Collectors
Bogus collectors sell your donated textiles for their own profit. Using the Text-BAC service you can be sure your textiles are being recycled. Look out for the Text-BAC logo.
